Remember that hurricane hit NY? Most people in the city couldn’t even tell you her name anymore, however, I just realized that I had some video left over from her visit. As such, I decided to hastily throw it together regardless of the lack of timeliness.
While slightly worried, I was mostly giddy about Irene’s arrival. My plan was to go to bed early so I could be awake in the morning, but upon turning on the channel two news, Lonnie Quinn and his knowledge had me wanting to stay up all night. He has already earned a GotY 2011 nomination.

Walked over to the 96th street exit of the FDR Drive. Nice big puddle there.
The city sewers are working overtime. Sure this could be any street corner in the city
Many places on 1st Ave have flooded basements. Not good for business
For the first time in history, the Subway system was shut down in NYC. As of Sunday morning, they were understandably still closed.
