Hey You: Lesson 17

Hey You –

Just a heads up.  Music will be a big part of your life.  Mommy and Daddy love listening to music and Papi is all about in wall speakers and playing the piano.  We are going to start you early with good sounds so we don’t have to listen to Raffi non-stop.  Here is a starter playlist for you:

Adele – Make You Feel My Love: Start things off with Mommy & Daddy’s first dance song

Hamilton: Wait For It: Kicking off the Mommy section with her favorite song from her favorite play that she didn’t even know she loved

Sam Smith – Stay with Me: After Adele, Sam Smith is probably Mommy’s second favorite artist.  This is his classic song.

Boyce Avenue – Want to Want Me: BA is a YouTube cover band that Mommy loves.  YouTube Cover Bands and their explosion is a topic for another day

Jeff Buckley – Hallelujah: The Song Mommy walked down the aisle to on her wedding day

Ed Sheeran – Perfect: More of a Daddy song, but it fits better up here

Counting Crows – Mr. Jones: A 90s classic that Mommy always plays

The Fray – You Found Me: Kind of pop, kind of wuss rock.  Can’t help but sing along

Transition into the “You have to know these artists” section

Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven: Never deny anyone of Stairway.  Maybe the best rock song of all time.

The Beatles – Here Comes the Sun: The Biggest Band of All Time.

Michael Jackson – Will You Be There: The King of Pop

Prince – Purple Rain: An Undefinable Legend wrapped in a riddle wrapped in an enigma.

Queen – Under Pressure: Daddy’s favorite classic rock legends from the 80s

Daddy’s Section
